Hi all,
Here is some useful stuff from Cybill (big thanks!!! ;D ) which was sent to me by e-mail the other day. As I'm no good at explaining I'll just put up some quotes from the e-mails. But I can tell you it's about changing the ghost - Fetter relations and the Plasm cost of powers!
You can find the example files here (Fetters) and here (Plasm cost). I've decided not to put up any savegames to prevent any incidents (like with the AllGhosts hack). Everyone is free to try, but I'll give you a warning:
Use at own risk!
It's good stuff, but you never know...

... I have tried the hack for the powers and it works very good. I worked a bit with the Hex Program an I finally found out how to put all Ghosts an every fetter. I tried to post this in the forum, but i have no server where i can upload the "how to do files". I have attatched 3 files two screanshots of the hex program and the one with the fetter numbers. You will notice on the screanshots that there a two different possitions where the fetters can be hacked. depending on the ghost, the second last filled position or the third last filled position. The four red nines are marking the right place. I hope that was not to confusing
I tried every fetter code with clatterclaws in the game and it worked perfectly fine. ...

... I was looking for the plasm cost for every power for every ghost. I mean for example Cogjammer starts with 5 just to bind him on the fetter and the dragoon starts with 25, but you probably know that. However I found the involved position in my saved game. It is the same position for every ghost in the game. Like you can see on the pic I attached. I changed this number to 03 which is the plasm band for cogjammer. now a power on 9 has
80 plasm. I tried it with every ghost and it work suprisingly well. but their is a but It works for everyone except whirlweird and hardboild. I figuered maybe because the actually don't have a body. ...

... About testing, the plasmband hack has another side effect which i recoverd during a test. Some Ghosts are acting diffrently sometimes they don't move. i think its because of the source data (cogjammer). I think his movements don't fit with some of the other ghosts. but there must be another way. I'm sure. by the way while playing with the hex editor I recoverd some other "Hacks". <-- written this way because they are not really hacks. The don't have a usefull effect on the game. like switching the bio's of the ghosts. Or changing the pic of the ghost to another. For example I switched Shivers with cogjammer which resulted in Shiver having cogjammers powers. I think this is not very useful, certainly more confusing. The rank of each Ghost can be changed too (untrained,....) Is that worth something? But through the whole switching thing, the plasmhack came up. but like I said it must be developed. That why I totally agree with you to test these hacks. We don't want a pc to crash, do we. All of these hack news make me believe their is much more waiting to be discovered. ...
... Just tried 00 instead of 03 with the plasmhack. its much better, because no plasm is needed at all. well thats nice. why didn't occured that to me earler
I tried an old and unhacked savegame and it seemed the ghosts movements are the same. ...
