Reading mattlows post earlier, i tried that one mate, with no luck, but thanx for the posting.
I still have my old fast ASUS GF 2MX 400, just put that in and with my high end machine:
Athlon XP1700+, 512 MB DDR,Win2k Pro, It runs like a dream, even at 1024x768 and doesnt look that different either..Nice smooth effects. Obviously my UT2003 takes a hit but still playable.
So before every one runs out and buys XP or starts messing with their machine, try borrowing a mates old GF2mx or TNT2, and wait for Empires 1st Patch (If their is one)
This game has not been fully stress tested on various Graphix cards, which Sickpuppies shouldve done. Again its just another example of publishers deadline.
Console owners wouldnt have it, why should PC owners have to wait for a patch.
Anyway, the games great, enjoy it, just swallow your pride and downgrade for a short while.
