Hello, I’m having trouble with running Ghost Masters which I bought from Steam. It crashes every time it reaches the main menu. I have tried: - Running with the latest version of the drivers for sound and graphics cards.
- Running as administrator
- Compatibility
- Windows XP (Service Pack 3)
- Disable display scaling on high DPI settings
- Run this program as an administrator
[/ul] - Switching resolution from 2560x1440 to 1920x1080
- Lowering refresh rate from 165Hz to 60Hz
- Trying with the AllGhostsUK.exe patch (UK)
- Modifying SpDrv.cfg
- MaxW to 0
- MaxH to 0
- MaxW to 2560
- MaxH to 1440
[/ul] Computer:
- Custom computer system
- Intel i7-3770K @ 4.1GHz
- 16GB RAM
- Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1 (64-bit)
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti
- Realtek High Definition Audio Driver
Notes: - Intro videos had no problems playing (can be played in native resolution)
- After the intro videos:
- Game switches to lower resolution
- Main menu can be seen
- Sound can be heard
- Mouse pointer can still be moved
- Then, white flash (presumably lightning?) and ghost.exe crashes shortly after.
[/ul] - Log from /Ghost Master/GhostData/GhostError.log:
- “Text missing from .\text\english.ut8 - Check log file”
- but file is already there
[/ul] - Running sound in 24 bit, 192000 Hz (Studio Quality)
- Native resolution: 2560x1440 (@ 165Hz)
Please help. Thanks in advance, Cheejyg
