Re-using the beta map

As you all mght know there is a couple .tga files still in the games files that pieced together show the beta map and also show a untextured version. Thought it might be a fun idea to put this map back in the game as a small mod for anybody that wants it I expect it wouldnt be to hard to do either.. as time goes on and we rebuild the cut levels this map could be more complete. Also I think "The Abysmal" would be one of the easiest maps to recreate since we have assets already in the game like Thorne, Divers etc and we might be able to reuse the Deadfellas ship? perhpas we shouldnt... this is supposed to be more of a wrecked pirate ship I think

The ship from Deadfella's and the ship from The Abysmal are very different. I imagine Thorne's ship to be a Galleon type, the deadfella's is more of a Yacht. Any reconstruction of levels will need to be complete, reusing old levels won't quite work. Of course, using Woitek's BSP Viewer, we can set up new scenarios soon, we may be a ways from actually creating a level from scratch. Without any dev tools we are even further off. If someone could take Woitek's viewer and turn it into a fully fledged editor, that would set us on the right track. Perhaps you could use chunks of Blender to do that?

I was thinking about also re-using the beta map selct screen, think that would be fun

I think the map we have right now is better than beta map.. But still might be fun to see

More of a optional mod.. I actually think the beta map select screen looks alot better then the one we have
