I wasn't talking about a free release. I ment that you could publish an early alpha version and sell it for a lower price then the final version of the game. Yeah I should have written that in my first post. I kinda forgot it.
Another idea may be to release a demo version. One level only, time limited, whatever. That could help putting your game on the market plus players can fish out bugs for you. Advertising and bugfixing in one, so to speak. Anyhow, regardless of there being a demo or not, I would definitely pay for the game if it looks promising. This kind of projects need support! I'm really, really curious to see the first design art/screenshots/other stuff you guys come up with. Fingers crossed!
Those are some great ideas Nemesis! We'll certainly have to keep them all in mind. And we certainly are looking to make a game that is polished, professional, and ready for actual sale. We certainly could use your talents! I'm going to be bold and flat out ask if you would be willing to make a banner design for our Facebook, Twitter, and websites. I need something to jazz them up and make them pretty and I'm pretty much in charge of everything on those sites. We have not decided on an engine yet and we barely have concept art down on paper sooo...we really could use your help. : ) And check out unofficialghostmaster2.weebly.com where I have added the first few pieces of concept art!!! I strongly urge you to e-mail me so I can get you set up with us and everything. We're only asking for a few hours a week of your time... firstname.lastname@example.org
I'm very enthusiastic about this project, so I'm especially sorry to decline your offer. For years the department where I work has been preparing for a new LIMS (laboratory information management system). Now, it's make-or-break time. I need to concentrate my programming skills on that until summer (hopefully). After that, who knows...?
Your career is WAY more important right now. Sounds like big changes are going to be coming your way. If you know of any other people interested in helping us out please let them know we are in need of volunteers with technical experience such as animation, coding, game engine mechanics, etc. I'm currently working on game lore right now so once that's posted I'll post it to the forums here so everyone can read it and submit ideas for changes and such. Hopefully we'll be working together in the summer!!!
