Hi guys, I knew about the 4 unused ghosts: Thorne, Soulscreech, Smokin Joe and Azrael and about the fact that u can bsp swap them with other ghosts. Moonscream with Soulscreech for example. So my question is: won't it be possible to just add more ghost slots into the game and put the 4 ghosts in there. Then u can get them with the other ghosts with no levels, ike Boo. However the problem is: I think u need to edit the exe to do that and I suck badly at hex editting. Else you could just replace them with other ghosts. But I think thats done before. At all it would be more fun to have those 4 ghost in adition to the normal ghosts, not instead of some of them. Another idea would be to just try to edit a savegame and try to add them, however I'm not sure if this would work.

Good idea, but sadly the ghosts are "incomplete". That means that, should you use them, some of the ghosts' animations won't be played because they simply aren't there. This being Ghost Master, it will most likely crash the game. And then there's still the fact that there currently is no way to add extra slots. So again: good idea but sadly not feasible.

Hm yeah was a bit much to add the slots anyway. But about the animations, couldn't you just use some animations of other ghosts for azrael and thorne(I think they miss animations), that shouldn't crash the game. Then i think i just gonna add them into the game instead of other ghosts and do whatever is possible: Changing powers, animations(if there are some), eptiah and look. Hoever if we find out where the slots are stored we could change them, however sadly I think its in the .exe file........ Anyway thx for your reply
Anyway if we want big changes to Ghost master someone known should pick up on it, what will make the community and the requests for a second one grow and possibly some sort of game making company will buy the rights(they shouldn't be that expensive since sick puppies dissolved)

Ghost Master has already been sold to Zoo Games. So far that company hasn't made any move to expand or alter the game in any way. Still hoping, though! Maybe if we wait long enough... Anyway, you're partly right about the animations. In fact, someone has already done it once! I believe he "completed" Thorne with animations from other ghosts. Sadly you can't do that with Smoking Joe. No, he doesn't make the game crash, but somehow he ends up looking really weird! Because of another request I think I'm going to dig a bit into the game models again. I've got a few new ideas.

Ok again thx for your quick reply . I think you mean SynthViper or something like that. However the link is dead and there is no way you can get it. I gonna start changing it when i got time and I think i gonna code a programm that lets you switch between edited ghosts and original. However I don't realy see how to get azrael to act like dragoon, anyhow I will try. I think i will upload it for everyone free to use, since I always wanted to get those ghosts in game, when i was younger, but no mods. By the way, I think it is realy sad, that they left soulscreech out of the game, cause she is so close to be done.....(the only thing i found her missing was a soundfile, where she asks you to free her). Triedd to get her into a savegame. However didn't work like i wanted. Someone knows about how to modify a savegame, so that you get ghosts even without laying them to rest? I think this could possibly unlock soulscreech(I don't think this realy gonna happen, but worth a try ;D).

The how-to of editing savegames originally appeared somewhere on this forum. I think it has "disappeared" by now. Zzzzsleep probably still knows, but I think he no longer visits the forum these days. I could take a look, but I'm currently far too busy getting sidetracked in trying yet another way of opening the BSP model files!

Hi again, I'm sorry to let you wait, but I looked a bit deeper into it today. I am nearly done replacing soulscreech with weatherwitch. The only thing i miss to do is changing the animations. However I don't realy know how to. As i already mentioned I'm not good at hex-editting(mayby did it once if i remember right) and I don't know which File to edit. If anyone could help i would be pretty grateful. I looked deeper into my idea about soulscreech(with implementing her through a savegame). She is the only unused ghost who got an epitaph, here it is: "Soulscreech was a quiet, timid spirit, before government scientists began experimenting upon her ectoplasm. Now she's the sort of ghost that mothers warn their sons about." Since she is so close to be implemented, I think if u would be able to load her through a savegame, game won't crash, but instead there will appear another slot with her inside. However its still only speculations. I think a bit about which ghosts I gonna replace else. I think I should be able to do another one this weekend(If you got any tips about which ghost to replace the unused with, pls let me know) .

Use ghosts that are similar to each other (i.e. humans and humans, spooks and spooks, etc.). I never got any further than that fact. I mostly just tried. And maybe I could edit the animations for you, but I'm currently very busy doing two other things with Ghost Master. First of all I need to help kraivo. But I'll keep your question in mind!

Thx for the tips I decided to swich soulscreech with moonscream instead of weatherwitch, cause i feel like u often need weatherwitch(especially her power siren song) in some levels. I thought about mayby doing some new sound files(when you free the new ghosts). I think I can handle that myself, but I want to have most things done before I start editing in the sound files(of course I already implemented soulscreech 2 ban sounds). I did thorne today. In my opinion he works fine with fingers animations. Here is my to do list: -add animations for soulscreech -add azrael(gonna think of which ghost would be best and how to make him like dragoon) -add smokin joe(Hes animations are pretty buggy still have to decide if I want to use the original or take some from other ghosts) -code the prog to switch between unused and normal ghosts(gonna code in C#, but thats the last thing I gonna do) -mayby do some sounds for the 4 ghosts -do a picture for azrael
