Ok, I have a copy of this game that used to run fine on my laptop that had Vista on it. I just recently downloaded it to my new desktop that has Windows 7, and although the game runs, the graphics are a bit messed up during actual gameplay. The opening movie seems to play fine, but during gameplay the graphics are off primarily in the way of color.
Specificly, on the game map, everything is displayed in a 'patchwork' of random colors, and during actual levels, the coloring of things looks a bit off. It didn't really bother me, though, until I tried to play one level and discovered that the basement level is being displayed as just solid black...nothing is showing. And the basement is vital to completing that level. Can anyone explain any possible means of fixing this?

That sounds like a case of faulty rendering. The basement should have a transparent "screen" around it (because it's underground but you still want to see it) but your graphics card renders it like a solid surface instead. I assume you already have the latest drivers for your card?

you could try to minimize the game and then reopen it.
