I hope this hasn't being mentioned before, and I hope this isn't stupid or in the wrong place. But from what I've gathered from rumaging the game files, is that there are still the animations, images (UI), models, and I think there are sounds from the un-used ghosts, such as Smokin' Joe and Soulscreech. Would it be even partially possible for anyone to still pu them in-game? Even if it does replace a couple of characters? (Because I don't exactly use ghosts like 'The Painter', or 'Knuckles'.)
Anyone know if that would be possible? And I don't actually know if this is a total N00B idea here, nor if it's been tried before. I would test this myself, but I already have a bit of a track record of breaking my Ghost Master, and I lack the knowledge to understand how to do anything more than BSA swapping.
Thanks a lot~! = D

I cannot even count how many people have brought this up, lol. To answer your question, you can (sort of) put them in the game. It's called .BSP swapping. There are plenty of threads here about it.
Navigate to the folder of the ghost you want to REPLACE. Back up those files somewhere then delete them. Now, navigate to the folder of the "hidden" ghost. Copy the files inside to the folder of the ghost you want to replace. Rename the .BSP to whatever the replaced ghost's was called.
You don't actually get a new ghost, however the ghost you replaced's model will be that of the "hidden" ghost, so you can at least see what they look like. Keep in mind that not all the ghosts are compatible with eachother (i. e. swapping Dragoon with Azrael will cause the game to crash to the desktop when you try to bind him).
There are also plenty of unused mortals you can do this with as well. I tried swapping scenarios this way and all I got was a crash to the desktop a few seconds after loading the level (however the swap

[sorry for the double post, I reached the character limit for the PS3's on-screen keypad, lal] did work for the few seconds that were displayed). ...and that could have been a lot shorter. Oh well. Hope this helped a bit. EDIT: Herp derp, now I feel like a moron since I actually read the last part of your post that said you already know how to .BSP swap. >.< You can, however, listen to the sound files by downloading VLC Player, which recognises their filetype.

No problem = )
But I kinda already knew all of that XD I did the same thing before (Replacing the levels) but I over-wrote the original, so I had to re-install. And even with that, maybe that could be made to be possible~? But you'd probably have to find a way to remove all of the mortals from the level first, since they are scripted to their unique level and such.
And I've listened to all the sounds already = ) Did that a few years ago when I wanted to hear their 'Banished' sound effects. And I've heard the ghosts that aren't in the game. = ]
But thanks for trying to help. It's good to know that there are still people on this site. Most of the conversations I've looked at seem to be considerably aged and dated.
