I have a question that I hope someone can answer.
I'm from the US and a few years ago I bought a US retail copy of Ghost Master. I play a lot of PC games and I had just got around to installing the US version a couple of months ago. When I went to look for the latest patch for the game, I learned about the Bonus Scenario that was only made for the UK version. I stumbled on this website hoping to find a US version of the Bonus Scenario. (A quick note: I did find this link tonight but not a few months ago ghostmaster.proboards12.com/index.cgi?board=mods&action=display&thread=1147558208
It might have save me some work but that's another story - but in my defense, the subject title was called: "what should happen" and I must had just missed reading it. ;D
For Christmas, I bought a UK retail copy of Ghost Master. The publisher is XPLOSIV.
So I'm now happy that I will be able to install the Bonus Scenario. I tried to update the UK patch 1. It wont let me. I get an error message that says incompatible version. I try to install the Bonus Scenario. It won't let me. Same error message. I was so fustrated but then I had a weird thought that maybe the Bonus Scenario was actually installed from the UK retail copy. I didn't really think that because it was supposed to be a free download and wasn't considered to be part of the core retail game.
My UK retail exe version is v1.0.20.4. The patch is v1.0.20.0. But I still couldn't make any sense of why I couldn't install the Bonus Scenario.
I looked in the Scenerios folder and notice a folder called "FINALE". I went ahead and uninstall the UK retail and reinstall the US retail. I looked in the Scenerios folder and there wasn't a folder called "FINALE" in the Scenerios folder. I followed the instructions in the weblink above by Nemesis, renamed the file: US_English.ut8 to English.ut8; was able to install the two UK patches and was able to install the Bonus Scenerio. When I now looked in the Scenerios folder I did see a folder labeled : "FINALE". So I'm pretty sure that the Bonus Scenario is the folder "FINALE"
What confused me was I wasn't expecting the downloaded Bonus Scenario being added to the UK Retail copy. Can anyone else confirm for me that the Scenerios folder "FINALE" is the Bonus Scenario?
