Im becoming desperate Ghost Master just crashes randomly to desktop no matter what i do. I have tried setting the dx sound acceleration to none didnt help. The crashes are kinda weird too it never says anything or shows any kinda graphical errors it just shuts down gm and moves to desktop. I tried the demo before buying this game and it crashed randomly too though in that case the game froze and i had to use alt+ctrl+del to shut it down. Also i have installed the uk patch even though im not 100% sure i have the uk version of the game but i guess thats the only english versio available in europe. My comp Athlon 2500+ barton gf4 4400 driver version 45.23 512mt asus a7n8x deluxe nf2 motherboard driver version nvidias 2.45 win xp with pretty much all updates downloaded im just downloading directx9b...currently have a versio plz i need help!

I thank for the people who have posted in this thread, but doesnt anyone have anything constructive to say? I payed 50 € for this game and now I cant play it! Well I can but whats the point when it can crash any time... Any suggestions what might help would be most welcomed, expect try different drivers, I have done that tried old ones, new ones, etc. for different components didnt help... Hopefully someone will be able to help me and everyone with this problem

Yes. Go to www.nvidia.com. Download either of the latest two builds of drivers for your OS (one is 44.03 I think, and there's one newer). The ASUS drivers will NOT WORK. You need the ones from NVIDIA (Not ASUS, not Gainward, not Hercules -NVIDIA). Go to microsoft's site and DL DirectX (at least 8, higher if you want) Once you have those, uninstall your graphic driver. Reboot. Install DirectX 8+ (9.0a/b seem fine, but they're sorta new so you may not wanna do this just yet) --Do this step even if you've already done it. Reboot. Install your new drivers that you got from Nvidia. Reboot. See if that works. -Kitty
