Okay, so it isn't a system "overload". Which version of Ghost Master do you have? And are you running the game with our without CD (i.e. no-cd patch)?

The easiest way is to compare the box art to the images you'll find here. Another option is to look for the file US_English.ut8 in the \GhostMaster\GhostData\Text folder. If it's there, you've got the US version. If it isn't, you've got one of the UK versions. Do you have the Bonus Scenario installed, by the way?

ok ... so I think this is it : TEXT_VERSION_EUROPEAN_PATCH1 "Ghost Master v1.0.20.0" - from English.ut8 And by the way ... I don't have the Bonus Scenario. ..... I think I have a european version

Since you have the UK version, why not install the Bonus Scenario? You can download it from Download.com or Strategy Informer. The no-cd for the Bonus Scenario can be found here. Okay, now why am I suggesting this? There have been several reported problems with no-cd patches in the past. I know this Bonus Scenario no-cd works. If it doesn't help you, we can rule it out as solution.

So it isn't the game, it isn't Windows or the harddisk... Must be the video card, then! Do you have any other games besides Ghost Master? How do they run?
