I was playing Cuckoo's Nest and finally managed to have Black Crow possess one of the Orderlies. That was supposed to render him immune to Terror, as well as act as transportation. A very short time later, a cross went through his icon and he began to flee! It seems that there is a bug, or at least a loophole, in the possession immunity: seeing insane people still increases Terror. Either that, or it's just random Terror or from a source I could not determine. At any rate, it appears to be mission specific, as I have possessed people in other missions without them running off. I will have to keep an eye out on their terror level next time.

I had that trouble on Spooky Hollow. If a mortal sees something spooky whilst in the process of being possessed he'll still freak out.
I hope that this is something they know about and the patch addresses it (when their server goes up).
Can anyone else comment on this?

The best way to do this level is: 1. First use Darkling's Psychotic Rage on professor, like the walkthrough says and make sure you stop Darkling from using its powers afterwards 2 bind Wisakejak to the Kid, (Kevin Caulkin), and get him to use Trojan Gift, then bench him right away 3 Bind stormtalon to the gift, if a doctor or the ordelies pick it up, use darklings obsession to get them right back up there, and then as soon as they are in the red zone (you can see because the haunters icon has a blue swirl on it), bind him to the centre of the room where the insanse people are and use surge. Then you have to quickly bind him back to the gift before the person holding it leaves, as soon as he is in the clear, bench him. Note: dont use stormtalons power until the right person picks him up, just bind another haunter to it and scare the person if they are the wrong one. 4 Next use Wisakejaks Shape Shifter, when he is bind to Kevin Caulkin, this usually makes people pass out, at which point you can bind daydreamer to them, get him to use sleep walk. And if u are binded to the wrong person, get him to pick on doctors or ordelies, and you dont need to cast powers yourself, he does it automatically.. ie- as he walks past someone he will use sleep on them. 5 Once you have found the right person, bind him to them, and use view so you can follow them round till they decide to go upstairs then in the red zone, bind him to that nutter sleeping and use sleep walk. Darkling is freed. 6 Then just scare the living hell out of everyone! I find this method easier than the walkthrough said.

Or you could just bind Tricia/Lady Rose into the ladies toilet on the second floor. One of the two surgical nurses walks to that toilet at the start of the level... create a trojan gift for her to pick up and bind an electrical ghost and an earth ghost to the gift.
The nurse will pick up the gift then go straight back upstairs without the use of attraction powers. As soon as she's inside an astral ward, rebind the electrical ghost to the control centre to open the doors to the mental cells. Now bind the Earth ghost to the plant in the last occupied cell and use tremor to break the link.
Doing it this way you should be able to complete the level within 8 minutes.

To get back to the topic: I don't think the "Flee While Possessed" issue is a bug. After all the possessed person is in some degree still "aware" of the things that happen around him (or her). Strong impulses like fear will still get through. If you really want to "protect" your mortals, knock them out and use Sleepwalk.

No, that's not right. The game manual states that they are immune to all other effects once possessed - the possessing haunter would stop them from running away if they tried to.
Just my opinion anyway.

That's right. For example, I made Flash Jordan possess Don Bartholemew in Deadfellas, just the time he was about to flee. He jumped in the sea, but floated motionless above the water (like he's dead) and when I benched Jordan, he continued to swim. Weird!!

I think it must be that possessed people are immune to what haunters do directly, but not to other things. I was playing Poultrygeist and set the kitchen on fire. Carol-Anne Hutz's terror was nearly to the point of fleeing even though Hard-boiled was bound to her, and she was trying to fight the fire so it could only be due to that. An interesting loophole in the game's functions.
