Hi everyoe. Ghostmaster keeps locking up for me? also the movies at the start stutter (stop/start). I've got the latest directx, ATI, soundblaster drivers but it still locks up. My system is a duron 800, ATI radeon 64 VIVO, soundblaster live 5.1, 768 RAM, Win98. Anyone else with this problem or any ideas on what i can do to get the game working? Any help greatly received!!! so i can play the game

Well i seem to of found a solution that has cleared up the movie sound probs and so far (fingers crossed) no lockups since. Seemed to be a codex problem.
I downloaded the latest windows media player 9 and it all seems to be working now. i'll post back if this solution fails over time

I'm not having any major problems, tho the sounds on the videos are a little jerky. I think this because I need a better graphics card.
If you're still having problems, go to ghostmastergame.com and click Links. There is information here on how to get support for the game.

Hi there, You do know there are issues running Win98 with more than 512MB of RAM? It can lead to 'out of memory errors' and reduced performance. You can troubleshoot this by running msconfig and limiting memory to 512MB in the under 'Advanced'. As for the sound stuttering you could try reducing your audio hardware acceleration level. You can find it in the control panel - sounds and multimedia - audio - sound playback (advanced) - performance. Set it down a notch to 'standard' from 'full'. That's all I can think of, hope it helps

The game does really require you to have Windows Media 9 installed so that the movies play within the game correctly. Best check your dxdiag and the version of driver you are using, some sound chipsets are not supported in the game see below. Are there any issues regarding certain graphics cards? The following chipsets/graphics cards are NOT supported: Rage Fury Maxx Matrox G400 or Matrox G450 Sis 315 3Dfx Voodoo Series S3 Savage 4 NOTE: Always ensure you have the very latest drivers installed for your graphics card and operating system. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Are there any issues regarding soundcards? The following sound cards are not 100% supported (the game may run but in some cases problems may occur): Formosa SC4000 Turtle Beach Montego 1/2 Aureal Vortex 1/2 Ess Canyon 3D NOTE: Always ensure you have the very latest drivers installed for your sound card and operating system.
