Making Class of Spook em High available for everybody?

in all the time I have owned ghostmaster and been on these forums I have never found a way to make the Bonus mission work on non UK versions of Ghost Master... is there any way to remove this "region lock" and make the game usable to everybody? I imagine theres some line in the file that tells it to only run on UK copies. Either way im sure it cant be that hard.. if anybody figures this out then I suggest we upload the "fixed" version so everybody can play this mission  (the game is already short enough)

You can't do it, this mission is hard-coded in exe, you can always replace language files for make it feel like other version.

Just buy steam version when its on sale.. I believe its about 0,99€

does that mean you can just replace the English text file with a UK text file and trick the game into thinking its the UK edition ?

What's the point to spend lots of time of hacking the game to make it UK version if you can just spend 1$ and buy the game lol

I think ultimately the regestry key is the most important. There is a key there for the language which you have to change I believe. It's definitely possible though. I have the bonus scenario on a German version but it's too long ago for me to remember all the details. I believe there is a helpfull thread about all of this somewhere on the boards.

Here is an old description from Nemesis:

- Go to Start -> Run...
- Enter "regedit" (without quotes).
- In the registry editor, do a search for "ghostmaster" (again without quotes).
- Somewhere, and you may need to browse a bit, you will find a value called "Language" or something.
- If you manage to find that value, right-click on it and select "Modify".
- Enter "UK" (without quotes) and confirm.
- Try installing the Bonus Scenario again.

It will probably mess a little with your game though (the lines the ghosts say may be cut in the middle because the different versions use different timing - and maybe you also have to do something about the text files later on) but I assume it will run. So try to make a backup before you install the bonus scenario.

It will get you to some more detailed posts about the theme. Also Nemesis was probably wrong when he wrote you have to change language to 'UK' (in the other posts he also wirtes that you have to change it to 9), you seem to have to change it to '9'.

So far I cant change the value to 'UK" and from what I can tell the English version is set to the number "9" and thats what mine is set to but everything im seeing says change it to "9" i will mess with the values and try to get the installer working
