I still have some stuff to show with bsp swapping but if we want to get further along with our ghostmaster editing I think we need to start hex editing and decompiling stuff. Im not familiar with this as I have never got into this sort of editing but my hope of creating this thread is to help people understand this better and be a starting point for this to start with we should get a hex editor and a resource hacker, for me I downloaded HxD and Resource hacker (if anyone wants the links to the download page I can provide them) they are both free and simple utilities for this sort of stuff. With all that being said does anybody have any ideas on where we should start? what will get us the most results? and so on im new to this and im certain many people are as well so hopefully anyone who takes an interest in this will find useful information here

I think everything important we need is in ghost.exe. We must do something with Resource Hacker, the mysterious Dialog 128 is still interesting me. As you could saw in my film "Ghost Master - Tajemnice #4", I could move button next to "EDIT MODE ACTIVE" wherever I wanted, I could delete it but i couldn't do anything to really switch it on. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about hex editing. Except that it's dangerous to hex editing files, if you want to do this. Btw. Where's Nemesis?

We just can ask developers about ghost.exe code that we need to open the editor.

Nemesis was on earlier, thats why it would be important to create a backup of the original exe. I would love it if we could ask the devolopers but if one of the people we contacted on youtube that worked on the game wont help then im not sure

I think you are right, I think Nemesis will be to help with this since he has alot of programming experience maybe he has some ideas there has to be somethng... just looking at the way ghostmaster was built and how things work i dont think it should be that hard to crack... after all in under a min we can have any of the unused ghosts or mortals (and other characters) back in the game

Excuse me for hopping on- and offline like this. I'm very busy again! But I may have an idea. In the past, I've created little tools that could press any button in any application you'd like. Even disabled or invisible ones. Just as long as they were there! We could try something like that with the Ghost Master editor. I already know the name of the "host process" (ghost.exe). Now I only need the name and type of the "editor on" button and who knows...?

Maybe someday we will be able to edit .bsp files. If not we should wait for ghost master 2. Me and Gm2 developer share ideas about the future or so. GM2 will have editor and multiplayer.

Like I said, I really, really haven't. So don't expect too much from me over at least the next week or so. That of course doesn't mean I won't try. This looks like a fun little puzzle, after all!
