you're my last chance. I'm really frustrated. I've read on many different forums, but no one had my problem.
I try to explain exactly, what my problem is about: I installed the game on my notebook. And everything was fine. Then I started it. All the pictures and the scenes loaded quite well. And also the sound is okay. The Main Menu is the big Problem, because it is only just a white screen. But the game works and the background musik is also okay. There is the familiar blue cursor on this white screen. You can scroll around and tap on this screen. Does anyone know how to fix this.
I really love this game, but I'm uncounselled.
Edit: My technical stuff: Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook E8310 Windows 7 Ultimate/ 64-bit/ graphics: Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family/ DirectX 10/ quality: 1400x1050...
In the past, changing the resolution and color depth of the Windows Desktop before starting the game could help. Maybe you can try that first? I assume you've also already tried reinstalling the game and upgrading your display drivers?
I've already tried to change the resolution and the color depth. In the end everything has changed into a white screen. Only the audio was perfect. And thanks for the hint. I looked after the driver, but it's still up-to-date. But I'm stubborn. I want to play this game...
I also tried it with admin rights and changed the compatibility to XP (SP2/SP3). Both of them have changed nothing. And I don't understand, why everything works and the main menu is a white desaster.
But I won't give up. Nevertheless thank you for your help. Maybe you'll have another idea for me.
The other option is setting the resolution in-game. Unfortunately that requires blind navigation through the menus (which you can't see!). I won't be able to guide you. It's been too long since I last played Ghost Master.
Nemesis Im guessing its probably because you dont have the time but why havent you played ghostmaster recently? its fun in short bursts and me I use it to test my systems performancefrom time to time... that sounds weird I know but ghostmaster is a really demanding game on the systems I have tried
So Guys I tried to start the game in safe mode. And there was shown the right menu. Only Problem it doesn't work. Maybe it's because of the safe mode and its function... Well, I think it has to do something with my graphics... or software... But I'm not the greatest technician.
Im sorry you're running into these issues it sounds like a graphics card/chipset issue to me :/ best thing I can advise is to double check your drivers, For me in Windows 10 I do the following Windows key + R to bring up the run command then I type "devmgmt.msc" to bring up "Device manager" double click "Display adapters" right click on the card/chipset and select "Update driver software" and click "Search automatically for updated driver software" and let Windows look for updates you might also need to roll back the driver if you want to do that I will also help you with that. Are you installing from a CD? make certain that its clean and scratch free or that your files from wherever you may have downloaded them (like Steam) arent corrupted maybe ru disk defrag? all in all im sure your machine is powerful enough to play it my old 2008 gateway laptop played it poorly but it did play it
Also if your not running Windows 10 the process should be pretty much the same for Windows 7. 8 and 8.1 as well for your graphics card/chipset also look for a control panel for your card like Intel, Invidia etc usually have a control panel to adjust settings on the card that might help also
This game is installed by a CD. I've bought the magazine "Screenfun" many years ago. And there was this funny game... Anyways, so my drivers are up-to-date, but.. Erm... I'm confused. I've tried something new. I deactivated my graphic card and the game works. It was very very delayed. The delay makes the game impossible to play. So now I don't know. Should I give it a try and deinstall my drivers? And reinstall them then?
