Has anyone here come across this program? it permits resource extraction and modification from files within games, programs, etc. Contains a decent hex and text editor, converts automatically. If anyone HAS seen it, could you explain these, and how to use them in-game? They look quite useful... (Images screenshot from my copy of ResEdit, kindly hosted by ImageShack

Ah, the famous editor. Yes, we've come across that already - quite some time ago, actually - but so far nobody has come up with a way to make the d*mn thing work. And those who likely do know (Empire Interactive) are very close-mouthed about it. So... Thumbs up for finding it, JamieKarie, but alas it doesn't work. Sorry.

Pity. I was hoping it did something useful. Has anyone tried decompiling the exe down to binary, see if they can isolate the code for it?

Also, does anyone have a program capable of opening the .bsp files for editing? None of my 3d modelling programs are capable of it.

Oof, that's a long time ago! If I remember correctly the BSP files have to be opened as a RAR archive, decompressed, then opened as another type of archive (sorry, can't remember which) and decompressed again. What you end up with are the original model files, which were created using a 3D modelling program (again can't remember the name) and compressed using some kind of plugin (which we don't have and can't get anywhere either). In short, we're stuck there also. And about trying to isolate code from the main EXE: no, we haven't done that (at least not to my knowledge).

I have ran across it, long time ago as well, and am currently working on incorporating it into a C# prog.

Really? All right, keep us updated in case something good (and working) comes out of it!
