...if you're talkin about typing it anyway just 1 character longer, that was what I did Well, that's what I meant. Example: Let's say you want to replace the Darkling (dark) with Boo (boo). As you said "boo" is one character shorter than "dark", so you make it one character longer using a space ("boo" -> "boo "). Anyway, I thought it worked like that.

ok,but that only works if the swapee is longer thn the swaper,in my case its the opposite(smokinjoe_anims.bsp-fingers_anims.bsp,all of SS and MS similar files which are moonscream_*whatever* and soulscreech_*whatever*)

I ressurrect this topic with voodoo powers lent to me by Baron Samedi
Have you notced how something is weird with Ghastly's eyes? When you swap his .bsp with Thorne's, Thorne isn't angyy, and when you use Soulscreech her eyebrows are pulled way up and you can see through her head!
A similar thing happens with Scarecrow, Soulscreech's head is pulled don into her shoulders and her bottom jaw is all shrunk, it's very funny! It is also very funny with Smokin' Joe, all you can see of his head in his eyes and forehead and the his nose peeks out over his collar, his bat floats in the air and his head appears to be impaled on his foot! oh the hilarity! - Hohoho!
Soulscreech's voice is weird!
Nem, how do I hack? Or is my feeble Cyber-brain too small to even comprehend such a monumentous task?

Ye-... I mean... Nah, just kidding! HEX-editing the animations isn't as hard as it looks. I'm a bit short on time right now, but I will look up the details and get back as soon as possible.

YAY!!! *Happy dance*
Ive become addicted to .bsp swapping, If I could do more... Ive found all these mortals who got kicked out of the game and put them back in, I think theyre from the Gothic Mansion. and I replaced half the mortals with Skeletons

Sounds cool! Okay, I think I've got everything, but I have one question before we start. Do you have Icy HEXplorer? It's not necessary to have that HEX editor, but it makes explaining things a little easier. If you don't have it then I'll host it for you (because last time I looked all links were dead).

Okay. Sorry for the short silence, but my home computer currently has an IP conflict so I can't get online from there (I'm at work right now). Either I'll fix it this afternoon and upload the file from my home computer or I'll upload it from my computer at work tomorrow. Stay tuned!

All right, here we are. I couldn't find the official installation package, but this file should work just as fine. Unzip the contents of the archive to C:\Program Files\hexplorer, copy a shortcut on your desktop (or in your Start Menu) and you're ready to go!
