I picked it up just to do this...so I've never done anything like this before (no better time than the present to learn)

Hmmm... Don't know that editor. Maybe it would be better if you downloaded the free ICY HEXplorer. I know that one very well, making it easier for me to explain things to you.

Okay, let's start then! Open HEXplorer and click on the "big folder with the arrow" button ("Open") or select File -> Open. Look for the appropriate savegame. I don't have Ghost Master here, so I can't give you any details, but you'll have to look for .sav files. Hit "Open". The file will be opened in the main screen. On the left you'll see the HEX code (FF FF EE) and on the right is the ASCII value. We'll focus on the HEX values here. Altering them will change the file's behaviour (or the behaviour of the program that uses the file). What we need to find here is the right offset. There are different values at the bottom of the screen. The second one (something like "Pos: 2feh (766)") indicates the offset. Scroll down until you're at the right position. For example, if you need to find the offset +2FE the value should be "Pos: 2feh (766)". Still with me? Okay, what's left now is to alter the value. That's easy. Just highlight the right position and enter the new value. Now select File -> Save to save the file. Uhm... did you remember to make a backup? It's best to do so, or else you might lose valuable savegames! Hope it'll work now. Just ask me if you need any further help.

"Lucky" is my favourite i only wish it could have the blackout power, luckstorm followed by a quick blackout is great fun. *Bzzzt* stupid mortals turn the light switches on The odd thing is,it says they get good luck but most of the time the storm cloud appears over their head instead of a regular cloud meaning they were bad luck-ed.They should call it Jinxstorm!

Well, it's mostly LUCKstorm for me. Uhm... What did you try to use the "Replace" button for? That one's for finding (and replacing) text (ASCII) and/or HEX values. You don't really need that one. Just make sure the highlight box is over the right offset (like I explained) and directly type the new value. NOTE: if you want to replace the second HEX character at a certain offset, you should bear in mind that you have to enter two characters. Example: HEX value is EE. You want to change it to EF.
EE -> Type "E" -> EE -> Type "F" -> EF

I'm still confused...in the description of it in that topic,they said to use the replace button and switch the two ghost codes.So for example,I could do Ctrl+A in Brigit's folder to select all,hit replace,and type in the name of,say,Smokin Joe's datafolder,and it would swap em.Didn't work for me,some error message with the replace key.

Okay, now I'm a little confused as well. What exactly are you trying to do? If you're trying to swap the .BSP files, you should do it like this (fifth post).

sorry to confuse you,here's what I'm trying to do open it in a hex editor run a search for the name of the animation file of the ghost you want to replace right above it should be the names of the animations inside it. then run a search for the name of the animation file of the ghost you want to replace the other ghost with right above it is its animations overwright the first ghosts animation names with the equevlent animation names of the second ghost or similar ones (eg. moonscream_wail and soulscreech_pow) the only restriction of animation swaping (that I found) is that the animations must have the same events (eg. the dragoon is incompatible with azrael because azrael has no stop event animation) I found the thread I was talking about,then quoted the post and copy/pasted it.
