Sorry if anyone gets annoyed with ppl asking it over and over again...
but im pretty certain u can de-activate the ward on the top layers... just read the subtitle file... ''#TEXT_HC_CUC_3 "You have disabled the ward over the Darkling`s prison, but the beams still hold him.''''
does anyone know how?

Never noticed that! A long time ago, I investigated the areas of the astral ward that people don't bother about! Like the area for the corpse/violence fettered ghosts! No - I think the POWER BOX there can be somehow switched off......
