Of course there's gonna be a new Ghost Master on the shelves!! Think now; you've made a game favoured by many players, earned thousands of bucks to buy yourself a Ferrari (e.g. John Carmack), and you say "Nah, I don't want another thousand bucks. This will be enought till the rest of my life..." ? These people get money out of this, charlie!! Not because they say "Oh, sweet geeker is going to have fun!! Ha ha!! .Let's make another game for him right now!!" You get my meaning

I would think that they would make mission packs for the game before making a sequel. Because what would be the point of having the Darkling in the game if you can not use him as a regular ghost except in the very last level after you free him? Also what would be the point to put the other ghosts in the later part of the game and only be able to use them in the last few levels. If they were only going to do that than it would have been better to make all ghosts available in all Time Gates. So please someone tell me what is the point? It tells me that they will work on mission packs and/or expansions before working on a sequel.

You can be sure about that, harrycleese. That way they keep the public's attention (and make some extra money!) while they're waiting for the sequel.

Heh.. just look at the Sims. Tons of expansion packs, and all of them sold like hotcakes. From a marketing standpoint, well done expansions are definitely a good idea, especially when the cost can be kept to around say $15 - $25 USD or so... In response to some of the discussion around the original topic (the patch).. bear in mind... USUALLY, Expansion = Added game content. Patch = Bugfixes, and performance improvements. SOMETIMES also adding planned content that didn't make it in time for release. As a general rule anyways.. And it's normally a good idea to apply patches when they're released, even if you don't experience the problem (unless the patch itself says otherwise and is for very specific problems and/or hardware). This way your game is "current"... which is especially important most times in anything which has multiplayer options. If the patch makes matters worse for you, you can always roll back and reinstall. Just back up your savegame folder before patching and before reinstalling if that becomes necesary. -Kitty

Of course they may just make them downloadable with some Mission Packs or possibly sell them. As for The Sims, I have all those expansions. ;D I will be getting the final one this October when it comes out.

Anyone have any idea how its doing there?
