Welcome to Gravenville General Hospital...this level is somewhat longer because of the volume of subjects you need to scare away...so get a drink happening and bring your patients...err i mean patience.
Some background information for our loyal readers...it seems Dr. Seth Greenwood is currently conducting affairs with some of the nursing staff...well...most of the nursing staff actually.
As the level progresses you will see short ---> Cutscenes as Dr. Greenwood carries out his dalliances with Nurses Maris, Hodge, Walker and Keenan. Dr. Greenwood is crucial to releasing one of our bound spirits...as you shall see below.
1) But first, meet Harriet...resident of the patient ward...and a bound 'playful bunny' spirit whose destiny is inextricably linked to young Jimmy Dowd who you may have noticed in the intro movie. It seems the young bully Kevin Caulkin has stolen a stuffed rabbit which belonged to Jimmy...to release Harriet you must ensure that the stuffed toy is returned to this rather upset young chap.
To do this, simply scare the crap out of Jimmy Dowd who will --->Cutscene release the stuffed toy. So long as any other patient or another member of the hospital staff come upon the stuffed toy, it will eventually be returned to the ward where Harriet awaits her release.
2) Secondly, meet the Daydreamer. This sleeping spirit is bound on an operating table just below the ward where Harriet is bound to young Mr. Dowd.
Loud noises are required to wake the Daydreamer...hopefully at this point you have realized that the recommended spirits probably won't cut it for successfully clearing this level...so use the Weatherwitch or Moonscream's Cacophony or Shattering Scream powers to wake this spirit and release it from captivity...simply by binding them to the nearby hallway.
3) Finally, meet Brigit. Down down in the Hospital morgue resides a restless spirit in a wedding gown. To say she has issues with 'philandering men' is probably an understatement.
To release Brigit, it is necessary to lure Dr. Seth Greenwood to the basement morgue. Again, i found the recommended ghosts unhelpful with this project and brought Maxine Factor along to help out. Any ghost with the obsession ability will do just fine, however.
Simply bind the aforementioned spirit to the second table in the morgue and repeatedly cast obsession until Dr. Greenwood makes his appearance in the basement.
Then, to lure Dr. Greenwood closer to Brigit, use her own powers of persuasion ( 'Insane Invitation' ) to bring him to her, thereby releasing her from her captivity.
GENERAL TIPS & TRICKS
**Disclaimer**
I found the recommended ghosts to be pretty much useless to me in completing this level, but because this game allows you to upgrade your ghosts as you progress through the game, your results will vary.
I found success bringing these eight spirits with me...please post any additional tactics that worked for you.
1) Cogjammer (needed for furnaceroom in Morgue)
2) Maxine Factor (Obsession power seems crucial)
3) Moonscream (loud noises req. to free Daydreamer)
4) Firetail (fire seems to scare most subjects)
5) Raindancer (good both outside and inside)
6) Boo (just because)
7) Ghastly (Terror Incarnate baby...)
8) Clatterclaws (area control spook)
THE GHOSTBUSTERS & Dr. Brunner
Over the course of this level, at some point three Ghostbusters will arrive on the scene.
Laurence Murray / Raymod Akroyd / Dr. Maureen Ramis
These guys ain't afraid of no ghosts...and pose a pretty good threat to your spooks when they work together...Keep your eye on your spooks and be prepared to bench them to protect them...tactically, splitting them up and then focusing your attempts at frightening them off one by one seems to work best.
You only have the scare away the Hospital's Senior Staff...but its more fun to scare everyone away and get the extra gold, of course.
I have yet to manage to scare away the elusive Dr. Brunner, who also makes a brief appearance during this level...last time we saw her she was in the basement of the police station...anyone have any tips for handling her at this early stage ?
Theoretically i think you can scare her away on this level...as she seems to follow a scripted path for her brief appearance here.
Food for thought...hope someone find this helpful and as always...
Happy Haunting...
