Hi everyone! I just reiinstalled my copy of Ghost Master while I'm recovering from back surgery. My laptop isn't very powerful so I had to go through my "back catalog" of my games collection. I notice there is no thread for Ghost Master 2. So I'll start one myself! Maybe if we all get together and become our own development team we could create a prototype Ghost Master 2 to present to the original creators? I LOVE this game and I think that if the flaws are fixed, a new graphcics engine powers the game, and the final product is finished enough we might have something in our hands we can 1. be proud of and 2. offer up for sale? I know I'm new to the forum and I might be coming off as pushy but hard work reaps great rewards. My background is English Literature and creative writing so I can work on voice scripts, storyboarding, creative design, etc. So that's one piece of the puzzle already in place! If we all band together and pool our creativity I think we can accomplish something great and revive a game that is sorely missed and a franchinse opportunity that can be ressurrected. Feel free to leave message posts or direct e-mails to me! Chris c.sadlowski@yahoo.comP.S. - I've also posted to Twitter and HashTagged #GhostMaster on twitter so you can find me easier! I have decided that it is much better to take initiative and do something yourself than wait around for some developer to listen to us which they may never do. I'm sure the developers of GM are sad that it came down to them leaving the original game behind but WE can make the phoenix rise from the ashes!!!

The Idea itself isn't bad. The developers don't seem to ever pick up on Ghost Master anymore so that seems to be the only way. 2nd thing is the game is old and the coding isn't that advanced compared to some games today. But there are some big problems. The comunity on this site isn't that active nowadays and most members seem to never come back. Sure Nemesis has always been around . The biggest problem would be to find some people(I don't think one is enough) who could code the whole thing and also implement a 3d engine. The best program to do this in my opiinion is C++. I can code a bit in C#, but I don't think it will help in some way. I wish you some good luck with your project hope you find someone who can halp you

It's really nice seeing people still being so enthusiastic about Ghost Master. Trouble is: developing a completely new game is a heck of a lot of work! I am a full-time programmer (mainly Delphi) and I would truly love helping develop a new game, but sadly... I really don't have time for it! Which is too bad, really. I love fooling around with Ghost Master, including prodding about its resources. There's so much still to be discovered... Anyway, I wish you all the best with your project. You can still ask for advice, if need be. Oh, and especially good luck with your recovery, of course!

Hi guys! Obviously yes creating a whole new game would be terribly time consuming and we would obviously need talent to work on it and create the whole thing. It's not a "silver bullet" to just slap together some coding and say "WE MADE A GAME!!" I do not have ANY coding experience at all so I'm at a disadvantage right there for doing anything other than, well, everything else that's not coding, modeling, or meshing. : ) Sadly yes I'm sure the community is quiet these days but it's only because we don't have much to talk about. Hopefully more people will heard of this little grass roots project and if interested enough will be willing to pool resources (including time) to make something start to happen. Google+ and the other methods of working and sharing dtata and ideas remotely puts us at a great advantage though and there are ways to get around certain limitations. If anyone is serious and spend an hour or so a wekk we could at least get something down. And with the right amount of "advertising" or Kickstarter-ing (that's a new word to add to the dictionary) we may even get financed for it as well. A few ideas to keep in mind...

I thought a bit more about it and in my opinion the coding won't be the most difficult. As I already mentioned the game is old and the coding don't seems to be so difficult. The most difficult thing about the coding would be to get a working 3d engine, but some programs make that relatively easy. The most difficult thing about the game would be to make a "whole package" of the game and entertain the one who plays the game with amazing animations, original ideas, thrilling stories, a great soundtrack and scary sound effects. To make a good "whole package" the team needs to work closely together. If you are realy serious about your project I would recomend team about this size: a Project manager that manages the team and gets all parts to work together(most likely you) 2 or 1 (if he/she is good) programers 5 storywriters also containing drawing storyboards to help the modellers (They could write different stories and choose one to work more with) 3 modelers 1 or 2 to make the sound effects I think thats halway realistic(if you find the coder/s and someone for the soundeffects) To make a kinda demo of the game you might be able to use some unadvanced textures and may come out with no soundtrack to get the developers to look at Ghost Master. In the end I only want to show that the project Ghost Master 2 ins't impossible. Its still a realy big work but if you find a team that realy wants to make it and has some experience with their "task" you'll most likely end up with a good end result. I don't want to call for false optimism I only want to show that if you got the will you'll find a way. The most difficult thing right now is to find a good coder cause without him you can't realy do anything. Btw If you look at the fanfiction area you might already have found some storywriters

I surely have to look at the fan fiction. I'm sure I'll be pleasantly suprised when I do. Sorry I've been decidedly quiet lately. Doctors galore for me! Orthopedic for the back, oncologist for the leukemia...I'm not even 30 and I'm falling apart already! : ) But I will say that having a cancer diagnosis has changed my outlook on things drastically. We have a LOT of time to do things; it's just a matter of how we choose to spend that time. Do we sit around grinding the mill staying safe and sound or do we take a chance or actually do work we LIKE? So something ot chew on for a bit there. I've also be spending some time working with The Sims 3 Create-A-World and have been very much enjoying making a new world to populate with little computer people. Off topic to be sure but if any GM fans are also TS3 fans I'll be sure to link to that forum there so you can watch my progress. It's slow going now as I try to figure out the program and as I do start to figure it out implementing my ideas. Still waiting for some people to sign up to this Ghost Master 2 idea I threw out there so we can move ahead with it and have some fun working together

Wow. I really admire your enthusiasm and your drive. Sadly I'm currently not in a position to decide how to spend my time. But I can multitask. Just drop a post if something technical needs to be done and I'll see what I can do. Oh, I'm not a Facebook person, by the way. Sorry.

I hope you'll get well soon Cancer is realy not funny Which program have you started to work with? That would be realy interesting to hear. If you want you can get some of my models you can look at my youtube channel(here it is:http://www.youtube.com/user/tobi2731/videos) and look if you need some of them(they aren't that good and about 2 years old now I think). If you need it I can surely modify them a bit. You can use them as whatever. The only thing is you can't use the textures, cause I didn't made them. I think I'm better at modelling now, and maybe I can help you a little and make some of the modeling(or however you will call the places where the spook happens). But I don't know if I'll have time and all that so you can ask me and maybe I can do a little. If its little things like swords lamps tables I think I can do it. I have to think about it if its whole maps. But remember you still need someone else to do the main moddeling job i can only help out a bit. Oh and notice I suck at making characters, pls don't ask me to make humans or ghosts. Btw: I have some kind of idea how you maybe could get someone to help you. You could ask in the forums about modelling and coding and texturing and whatever else you need maybe someone is kind enough to help you . Oh and I found some models that I din't upload on youtube too: A sniper A Pistol(its rather looking bad) An observatory(I don't know how good it is) A Tower(I believe its not that good either) some objects you could use in a wood(I don't know how many) A little island (looks weird ) Some caves A beach(Its a realy rough model) A part of Springfield from Simpsons(I don't know how that will help, but maybe you can use it as picture in a childroom or such )

HI! Yes cancer is not funny and it really sucks to have it. But it HAS taught me a lot about living life and doing whatever makes you happy (within reason) because our time here is not very long.
Well you'll be unhappy to know that I don't have any program because I don't know how to model, mesh, texture, etc. : ) I do know of a website that teaches "coding" but I haven't checked it out yet as I only just read about it in PCWorld Magazine. I would have to take the role of "Project Manager" currently. Make sure everyone is on point and work is flowing through the pipeline like it should. I'm sure I could poke around and use my research skills to find programs to use and figure out and websites to help me along. But I feel that doing this solo would take forever for me to accomplish anything. it really would have to be a collaberative efforft of the Ghost master fans to make anything happen. We'd have to "get together" remotel so to speak to hash out ideas and gameplay and design and everything. It'd be a big task and that I have no delusions about. But with enogh people doing what they're good at we could come up with something rough that could be rebranded. If not a straight up sequel, which is probably out the window from the get go, then a spiritual succesor. So...that's that for now. And sorry I've been long to reply; I've been lazy truth be told. : ) Dragon Age and The Sims 3 have been calling me lately.
