I agree that we should need a new, more often updated site. But, like Joe asked, what will happen to this old forum?
Also, I find Spooky Hollow as a good name for the future site ;D It will be built on an ancient forum burial ground, so it will must be great when it's finished.

I'll let Nem decide what will be done here.

The question: What should we do with all the threads here? Is there any way to transport Key threads like the Lolcat and BSP Swap Screen shot thread? Or just massively transport all of them? If there is, should we do that or just start fresh?

No, I can't do that automatically. The database structure will be differnet for the new forum software.

We could always copy/paste any significant threads from here, such as important tech stuff or something.
Also, just in case anyone votes for anything else soon, I'll be on vacation until Mondayish, so don't think I'm abandoning the forum or anything.

Same for me! I'll be in north-Germany until Monday or Wednesday (depending on the available accomodation and weather). When I'm back I'll try contacting James and maybe figure out a way to copy/convert the existing forum to its future location. Stay tuned!
EDIT: I'm back! Let's see what we can do!

Alright, the future location is now present. I used my WHM to create the account, and the domain is ready to go. I just need to set name servers. But I need this answered fast. Should I make the website out of html? Or should I make it like this? www.szicovii.comThat's one of my clients. That's Xoops, HTML or Xoops, you guys decide.

I'm sorry for being entirely computer illiterate, but could you please explain the difference between Xoops and HTML?

I'll try to keep it simple! HTML-based pages can look nice but they have limited possibilities. HTML for example can't do difficult animations. Xoops on the other hand has more options and thus can look a lot sleeker. It's also slightly harder for computers to run. Nevertheless I'd go for Xoops.

Thanks. I think I'll go for Xoops too.
